Kitchen - Mt. Baker

It is always nice to be invited back to a clients home to do more work. I like to think we must have delivered on our reputation of quality work and service, or we wouldn't be there again. EAZ, Inc. was back this time to remodel a very old kitchen. They wanted to use IKEA cabinets. I think IKEA can be a great price point, and in this project it allowed room to design out a few problems. My design involved moving the door. Moving the door allowed all of the appliances on one side, and room for a pantry. We also did some sound wall work on the exterior wall because they had a noisy neighbor. The client said that after the remodel, she had never had so much storage in a kitchen before. The kitchen is now warm, and quiet . See you next time.

Addition - Magnolia

I was commuting to a Magnolia addition while listening to classic KING.fm (keeps commute sane), and a commercial came on the air from a large scale construction company advertising that they would work with homeowners to help drive down cost. I thought to myself, "wow, that has been my business model from the beginning!" I have always taken pleasure in encouraging clients wanting to become more hands-on involved in their projects. Whether that means coaching large finish product purchases, to getting in there and running a sander on those hardwoods. It saves money, and gives homeowners pride in learning some new skills.
