hi all -
taking a break from what has been a steady pace of bids on large and small projects to post a great basement remodel for a multi-generational home i did back in 2005. this was a dark, dank, unfinished basement that needed a full treatment; master bedroom, full bath, living room, built-in cabinetry, and a major upgrade to the laundry room. the client was living out a room the size of a janitor's closet! he needed enough personal space of his own while allowing his other family members who inhabited the upstairs, access to the new laundry room. this project had a significant issue with 6 structural beams running the length of the basement, so i had to design a space that could incorporate this detail, while maximizing the flow and floor plan. judge for yourself regarding how i did! more photos are in the project slideshow.
